I attended a free seminar on Trusts, Wills and Estate Planning put on by Seth Bier of the Bier Law Firm. Being new to California, I had heard about potential issues surrounding California probate and wanted to learn more. Mr. Bier did not disappoint. He discussed different types of probate (for those with wills and related documents and those without) as well as the advantages of putting a trust in place to avoid the costs, time involved, and other potentially negative factors involving probate. I had a follow-up one-on-one session with Mr. Bier as well to review specific aspects of my estate planning (again, at no charge). I believe Mr. Bier to be thorough, thoughtful, helpful and most importantly, truly interested about your individual situation. Importantly, there was absolutely no pressure applied to make use of Mr. Bier’s services. He simply lays out the facts and allows you to make your own decision as to whether to use his services or not.
